I See You There

Ever walk into a store, find what you were looking for, but then can’t find an employee to ring up the purchase? You’re ready to go but no one is there to help you. It’s not the delay that causes the biggest frustration for customers, it’s the fact that no one was paying attention to them. Customers are people and people like attention. Customers don’t necessarily want to be hounded or micromanaged, but they don’t want to be ignored. They want appreciation for doing business there. They want respect. One easy way to give them that is to be around when they need someone. Pay attention to what your customers are doing and what they may need from you. Don’t leave them wandering around the store. They may not come back next time.
