To open or not to open

To open or not to open, that is the question.

A restaurant, as many businesses have this past year, faced a dilemma. Local regulations had begun to ease, but they considered their customers, their staff and their business.

In the end, the owners decided that it was in everyone’s best interest to only open for take-out (even though they had a large dining room in their establishment). They could have opened for limited in-person dining, but they determined that it wasn’t the right decision for them and their customers.

Being able to do something and having it be the right thing to do for your business are two different things.

This business knew its customers well enough, it knew its staff well enough and it knew what kind of business it wanted to be. And that knowledge drives every business decision for them. They’ve been able to stay true to who they are and provide for their customers. Because they’ve made those two things a priority, they stay in business.
