In an effort to get more done in less time, a salesman decided to invest in a website that offered automation options. Because he was the only employee at his business and knew that he couldn’t be everywhere at all times, he created a site for his customers that let them give him feedback on products whenever they had time and then he could respond back whenever he had time.

It may have appeared cold and impersonal, but really, it was incredibly respectful of everyone’s time. He was able to work more efficiently, and it was a paper trail of what his customers were looking for. He didn’t have to remember their preferences; it was already in his system. In a way, the customers were filling out their own CRM entries using their own words.

The business owner kept his focus on getting his customers the right product in the shortest amount of time as possible and he was open to the method used to accomplish that. Once you know your why, the how will reveal itself.
