Many businesses can’t currently operate as they usually do, but that doesn’t have to mean abandoning your customers.

A small liquor store in New England is offering curbside pickup, handling the orders through the phone, as their website isn’t set up for online orders. One customer called and asked about the current procedures for returning bottles. The owner told him that while the store couldn’t accept bottle returns at the moment, if he could hold on to them for now, he would let the customer know when the store was able to receive them.

The store’s owner showed that he wanted to take care of customer’s needs and will do so as soon as he is able to.

Even if you can’t offer your usual products and services, you can offer your customers something – an indication that you will take care of their needs now and/or in the future.
