For whose benefit?
Recently, a car insurance company sent out an email to its customers regarding a hurricane that was on the way. The email stated that the insurance company would reimburse customers the cost of relocating their vehicle to a safer location up to a certain amount.
Even though the company will no doubt spend less money sending relocation payments to their customers rather than reimbursements for damaged cars, the way that the email read, it sounded as though the insurance company really cared about the customer and the safety of their possessions. They closed the email with, “we are thinking of you during this time.”
By serving its customers and looking out for them, this organization is also benefiting. Win-win.
