Full-service farmer’s market

At a local farmer’s market, they had the usual spread of fresh fruits and vegetables for sale. But what set this market apart from others happened at the cash register.

After ringing up the sale and packing the purchases, the employee at the market reached for a bottle of hand sanitizer and said, “now the most important thing” as he gave each customer a squirt of sanitizer in their hands.

The “most important thing” for him wasn’t that the customer made a purchase; it was that the customers remain healthy. A healthy customer is one who has the ability to return to make another purchase. A healthy customer will keep his other customers, as well as his employees, his family, and himself, healthy.

Staying healthy truly is the “most important thing” right now and customers will remember if their health and wellbeing were a priority to you and your business.
